The DUSK debuts Shimano’s all new STEPS EP600 motor offering 85Nm of torque. Fitted with a 720Wh Simplo battery and the possibility of customizing the 3 assistance modes via Shimano’s E-Tube Project app, you can optimize battery use to enjoy the longest of rides.
If you’re seriously into exploring, you can add an (optional) extra 360Wh with our range-extender battery which fits in the bottle cage, taking you up to a simply mind-blowing 1080Wh. You could pedal from sunrise to sunset on the most gorgeous tracks and trails imaginable (that’s what our enduro ebikes are for) enjoying our market leading technologies such as ZERO SUSPENSION SYSTEM and FORWARD GEOMETRY, and in this case with 160mm of suspension travel at the front and 150mm at the rear.
Freeborn’s Take
With 150mm out back and 160mm up front the new Dusk R is ready to take on whatever you can throw at it. Descending, climbing and endless hours of singletrack, the Dusk R makes it all possible.
The all aluminium frame set and sealed MAX cartridge bearing pivots are designed to be able to shrug off the worst the trails have to offer. Mondraker’s Forward geometry has a roomy reach, short stem, and steep seat tube angle giving it amazing stability when descending and great manners when climbing.
Mondraker’s Zero Suspension system is supported by a Fox DPS Performance rear air shock delivering 150mm of supple, progressive travel. Combined with a 160mm Fox 36 Rhythm, you have the capability needed for almost anything.
Equipped with the the light and powerful Shimano EP8 Motor delivering up to 85nm of torque. A 630Wh Shimano internal battery will keep you out for all but the longest rides. But if you need an extra bit of juice you can always add the optional 360Wh external battery bumping up your total capacity to 990Wh, putting even more peaks in your sights.
Braking is taken care of by Sram’s light and powerful G2 R 4 piston brakes front and rear coupled with 200mm rotors.
A Sram Eagle drivetrain gives you a wide 11-50 tooth range which will allow to keep your cadence up on even the steepest of climbs keeping the motor delivering power when you need it most.
Sealed cartridge bearing Formula Boost hubs front and rear built onto 30mm wide tubeless ready rims are clad with Maxxis DHF and DHR Exo+ tyres to keep to stuck to the trail.
