DT Swiss PRC 1100 Mon Chasseral 700c Rear Disc Wheel

The Mon Chasseral looms large above DT’s headquarters in the Jura mountains and as always its name is only invoked for the very finest Swiss engineered high mountain wheels

The Mon Chasseral has always been DT’s flagship rim brake wheelset but times change, disc brakes have changed and now the Mon Chasseral has joined the disc brake revolution

At a truly astounding 1266 grams a pair for 18 mm wide tubeless clinchers the new PRC 1100 Mon Chasseral disc brake wheels offer superb uphill velocity but, as always with DT, not at the expense of handling and long term reliability, these are true ‘mountain’ wheels

The new aero-optimised 180 ratchet EXP hubs are lighter than our legendary 240s but utilise the bespoke DICUT spoke system which allows for higher spoke tensions giving these wheels an unparalleled stiffness to weight ratio and superlative handling

The new 36-tooth Ratchet EXP system widens the bearing stance and with fewer moving parts DT have improved on even the 240’s legendary long term reliability

The bespoke carbon rims are manufactured using a method developed by DT to ensure continuous carbon fibres are aligned with the forces passing through the wheel, increasing strength and stiffness in use.

18 mm internal width is optimised for 25 c tubeless tyres, giving a larger contact patch for improved grip and greater comfort over poor road surfaces

As you’d expect in such a premium wheelset, these wheels come with a full complement of DT’s custom SiNC ceramic bearings to reduce drag

DT’s nailhead Aerolite and Aerocomp spokes offer a highly optimised mix of stiffness and aerodynamic performance with DT’s renowned reliability
