The Sidekick frame is an integral part of the DMR family of Cro-Mo frames. It is based on the popular Trailstar geometry but it is lighter and smaller than the Trailstar.
The Sidekick shares many of the great features of its "bigger brother" the Trailstar but it is more suited to a smaller rider or someone who wants increased standover room.
It is designed to run a short travel fork 90-110mm with nippy handling for racing.
Updated in 2005, the Sidekick got a heat treated 4130 Cro-Mo front triangle with a new larger diameter down tube and a "box" gusset that gives a significant increase in strength and stiffness with a minimal weight increase.
All DMR MTB BB frames have the ISCG fitting and DMR now do a number of chain retention devices to fit the ISCG mount.
