About Freeborn Bikes

We specialise in top quality mountain bikes and equipment, with two fully stocked stores. Our main store is in Horsham, and we’ve another in Esher where you can also find the Esher Shore freeride park adjacent to our store.

Both of our stores have free parking, open 7 days per week, offer interest free credit, have full workshop facilites and carry out all aspects of cycle & mountain bike repairs, servicing and wheel building.

We are also exclusive UK importers for 3 of the finest MTB brands – Devinci, Ellsworth and Mythic Bikes. Please browse our bike pages for more info on these brands.

Online sales

Our online store shows only a small percentage of the stock we hold. Generally, if it is on our site then it is in stock but it’s always worth checking to be sure. Send us a mail and we’ll come straight back to you.

Our online sales system is secure, easy to use and very fast with virtually every order being despatched same day.

Frame package prices

We offer the lowest prices possible. Certain items may offer a lower “frame package price” This lower price is valid when you are buying the item in conjunction with a frameset.

Directions (car)

Our Horsham store is situated on the A281 Guildford/Brighton Road.

From the M25, join the M23, proceed past Gatwick Airport, and exit at junction 11 (Pease Pottage, signposted Horsham A264). Follow the A264 towards Horsham where it will join the A24. Leave the A24 at Junction 4 (signposted Broadbridge Heath/Superstore) and follow the signs to Horsham A281. You will find us approximately 1 mile further on, on the right-hand side opposite the KFC. There is free parking at the rear.

Please note that you need to park in a yellow parking bay directly behind Freshwater Parade. Do not park in the residents parking on the Bishopric Court side (white parking bays) as a parking control system (clamper) is active.

Our Esher store is just 5 mins from the M25 by car. Exit the M25 at junction 10 and follow the A3 towards London. Take the 2nd exit onto the A244 signposted Esher / Sandown Park. After approx 1 mile you will come to Esher high street. At the traffic lights you need to continue forward which will take you across the high street. As you continue forward you will see Esher Green (a large grassy area with a war memorial on it) Make sure you continue to go straight ahead and across the next junction into Esher Green. Once you are in Esher Green follow the road for 400-500yds, past “The Wheatsheaf” pub and you will then see the rear entrance to Sandown Park on your right. Turn into this entrance and then turn to your right and follow the signs for Freeborn up the hill.

Directions (train)

Horsham is less than an hour from Victoria.

When you leave Horsham Station, turn left and follow the signs down the main road to the Town Centre. From the town centre, proceed along west street towards McDonalds. Continue past McDonalds to the road and pedestrian crossing. Freeborn is 100m on the left – opposite the KFC.

Esher is easily accessible by train with links from London. From the station turn right and you will go underneath the railway bridge. Take the first road on your left and then continue along here. After approx half a mile you will see Sandown Parks perimeter fencing on your left and eventually you will come to the back entrance of the park which has large advertising boards on either side of the gated entrance. Turn into this entrance and take the right turn which will take you up the hill. From here you will see Freeborn signs that guide you to the shop.

Bike builds

With years of riding, workshop and custom building experience we can offer the right build and with our frame package deals we can build it at the right price. We’ll take into account your riding style, location, budget and needs, and give the best advice going in regards to your new bike.

Delivery

For website orders we offer free delivery on some items. On other items a delivery charge is due. When purchasing multiple items if any of the items in your order have a delivery charge then this amount covers the delivery for your whole order.

Delivery for frames is generally charged at £15 and complete bikes at £20. Other items vary to offer the fairest possible pricing.

Small items are posted by a Royal Mail recorded delivery service. Larger items are sent out using Interlink Express on a next day service. A tracking number is available for all orders if required.

All orders are despatched as quickly as possible from the time that we receive the order. In the event of any delay we will contact you and advise.

In the event that you need an item by the weekend you will need to place your order by Thursday as a Saturday delivery is not always available.

In the unlikely event that an item is out of stock, you will be contacted and given an estimated delivery time. If you are not happy with this we will do all we can to assist you, by either finding you another product or cancelling your order. It is important to us that we get your order to you as quickly as possible but in some cases certain items may not be available. We will always keep you up to date if this is the case.
