It’s a revolution in drivetrain technology. A new way of transmitting mechanical power based on spheres instead of gears. The NuVinci continuously variable planetary (CVP) technology, an innovative new continuously variable transmission (CVT), is not only helping vehicle designers and component manufacturers improve performance, ride quality and capabilities in existing products. It’s driving change and new designs never before thought possible.

The NuVinci CVP is a continuously variable and broadly applicable technology, with applications for almost any product using mechanical power transmission. NuVinci technology combines the advantages of a toroidal traction continuously variable transmission (CVT) with the advantages of a time-proven planetary gear arrangement. The NuVinci CVP is the only continuously variable transmission that has a planetary gearset’s advantages of high torque density, versatility of use, inline shafts, and low production cost. As a result, NuVinci technology is the only technology potentially capable of replacing the planetary gear transmission in every application as virtually a plug-and-play replacement.

Ellsworth spent three years qualifying his Carbon Fiber manufacturing facility, material and technique. Our carbon material is certified and tracked from material acquisition to lay up in the frames, preventing any substitution in material utilization. Our Lay Up technicians are trained, and experienced professionals, working in a clean, healthy and organized environment, capable of reading and understanding the lay up specifications of our monocoque frame designs. Our modern manufacturing facility exercises social responsibility, modern high tech void extraction and heat equipment, and properly controls the dissipation of carbon dust and scrap in the finishing process. Carbon dust and scraps are initially minimized by accurate lay up techniques in the mold.
