More Cwm Carn goodness..

Jerome is like a one-man media flood - the photos and videos keep appearing in my email inbox, or on DVD’s shoved under the shop door….

Right: Rob C loading yet another Devinci onto the uplift trailer….they’d never seen so much Canadian hardware in Wales before! There were some guys riding “mass-market brands” and they seemed to be a little intimidated by all the high-end, custom built bikes on the trailer, custom of the Freeborn crew

The Freeborn crew (staff and friends) hanging out at the bottom of the track, after the final run of the day…or should I say “one of the final runs…”

In Mountain Biking, you never say ‘One last run’ as that just tempts the gods of fate, and usually results in an unlucky rider having a huge, bizarre crash, resulting in a call to the Air Ambulance

We did a couple of final runs, and then called it a day after the first one, sneaky that !

Right: John “Jesus” Holme looking stoked after a day riding his Ellsworth Moment Mk3 on the Cwn Carn DH tracks.

He says he is not sure what this bike is for? Although he is loving it….

Its “supposed” to be an ‘All Mountain’ bike but seems to go quicker down the nasty Welsh hill than his previous, longer travel ‘Freeride’ bike, and it also climbs better up rough ground than his ‘hardtail’ - life is confusing?

Right: Jerome “KrazyJey” Abed on his Devinci Hectik Ltd.

We have tried for the past 3 years to pry Jerome off his aging, creaking 2004 Specialized Enduro, with no luck….we did try?

Then the Freeborn TV project came up, and we drafted Jerome into helping out, with the pay off, of this awesome new frame / shock - he is a serious rider (he has owned Rocky Mountains, Turners, etc.) and said his Hectik is “simply awesome…I am loving this bike!”

Jerome has just left the UK shores, to take a job in St. Prince (Caribbean) so expect to see some lovely biking photos and video of 30 degree, blue skies on the Freeborn blog, whilst we shiver in the UK “murk”
